Emergency Help

Knocked Out Permanent Tooth

If a permanent tooth is knocked out, rinse it gently, but DO NOT touch the root. If possible, reinsert the tooth in the socket. If this is not possible, keep the tooth moist (place in milk if possible) and call our office at (910) 791-7380 immediately. The first 30-60 minutes are critical to saving the tooth.

Knocked Out Baby Tooth

If a baby tooth is knocked out, do not replace it. Primary or baby teeth are not generally replaced into the socket, however prompt care by one of our pediatric dentists is recommended.

Broken Tooth

Rinse dirt from injured area with warm water. Place cold compresses over the face in the area of the injury. Locate and save any broken tooth fragments. Immediate dental attention by one of our pediatric dentists is necessary.
